5 NEW CITRONGO! ORDER WINS
MAJOR SERVICE LAUNCH WITH GLOBAL MOBILE NETWORK OPERATOR
INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION CONTINUES
Globo plc (“Globo” or “the Group”; LSE-AIM: GBO), the international IT, mobile solutions and S.a.a.S group, is delighted to announce the continuing development of its international mobile business with new order wins for CitronGO! from Mobile Network Operators (“MNOs”) in South East Europe, South East Asia and Latin America. The company also announces a major service launch with a division of a global MNO for a CitronGo! contract.
Globo has received five new orders from MNOs, two from South East Europe, one from South East Asia, one in South Asia and a further MNO in Latin America totaling a targeted subscription base of 59.5 million. The contracts are to provide the CitronGO! messaging and social networking service. The technical implementation is already in progress and the MNO’s service rollouts have begun and are expected to be finalised by the end of 2010. The service is based on the CitronGO! SaaS offering under which Globo will receive a fixed service fee per month per active user.
Globo has recently launched one of the above contracts with a global mobile operator’s South East European division. The CitronGO! service is provided under the MNO’s branding and promotion of the product is taking place through a major advertising campaign which includes above and below the line activities.
These latest wins follow the previously announced contracts. Globo is now operating with 13 MNOs in 20 countries with an addressable 205 million subscriber base.
Globo has expanded its international presence by opening offices in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Indonesia which will enable it to take advantage of the opportunities offered by these technologically developed markets.
