GLOBO Wins Prestigious Innovation Awards for 2011November 1, 2011
Globo plc (“Globo”, “the Group” or “the Company”;LSE-AIM: GBO), the international IT, mobile solutions and SaaS provider, has won ‘Innovative product of the year’ with CitronGO! at the Infocom Conference 2011 and the ‘Best Telecoms Innovation in Western Europe’ category at the World Finance Telecoms Awards 2011.

The growing reputation and recognition that Globo and its products are receiving at international awards ceremonies are an indication of the Company’s progress. Globo was short-listed for the prestigious ‘Best Telecoms Innovation in Western Europe’ award alongside Alcatel-Lucent, Sagem, SAP and Skylogic.
These awards reflect Globo’s success in creating a mobile platform that enables businesses and individuals worldwide to take full advantage of the opportunities from the growth in networking, communicating and socialising. They recognise that, through innovative technology, Globo delivers mobile, telecommunications software and e-business products that make a difference.
The judges were impressed by the international growth in revenue and profits achieved by Globo through the success of CitronGO!, GO!Social and Wiplus. They also recognised the exciting prospects offered by GO!Enterprise Server, first introduced at the mobile World Congress at Barcelona in February 2011, which addresses the demand for enterprise mobility across all mobile devices.
