Globo plc (‘Globo’ or ‘the Group’)
Globo recognised in Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant report for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites
LONDON, 9 June 2014– Globo Plc (LSE-AIM: GBO), the global provider of complete enterprise mobility solutions and Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”), is delighted to announce that it has been included in Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant report for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites (“EMM”). This year Gartner changed the report’s focus from Mobile Device Management (“MDM”) to EMM.
Over 100 vendors were evaluated for the report against a series of criteria; qualifying vendors were required to show, as a minimum:
· $8 million in 2013 EMM revenue
· 1,500 EMM customers
· 500,000 EMM licenses in customer environments
· MDM Support for at least three mobile OSs (i.e. iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8, BlackBerry)
· Five references using the EMM product in production
· The EMM product must be able to manage policies and control data sharing for mobile applications
· The EMM product must provide a device resident container to store and manage content
Globo is the only new vendor to be added to Gartner’s new Magic Quadrant for EMM report for 2014. Globo is positioned the furthest on the “completeness of vision” axis within the “Niche Players” Quadrant. Globo provides EMM and mobile application development platform (“MADP”) products to organisations of all sizes.
Costis Papadimitrakopoulos, CEO commented:
“This report is a significant achievement for Globo. Our inclusion in the first Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites demonstrates our ability to deliver a leading end-to-end Enterprise Mobility Management solution. Our EMM product sits alongside our Mobile Application Development Platform, making us one of the few companies in the world that can offer both capabilities in a single, fully-integrated product. This is a fantastic validation for Globo and our competitive strength.”
